Cynthia Knox is an award-winning artist who specializes in works of traditional realism. She is a Signature Member of the Colored Pencil Society of America, a juried member of the International Guild of Realism, commissioned portrait artist, and occasional art inustructor. Her artwork is in shows, private collections, and on her website at www.cynthiaknox.com. Cynthia credits her passion and inspiration for art to a deep love for God and encouragement from her parents and family. GREAT for beginners and intermediates

The Trace Line series, seems to be a really great way to show how to color (outline) many objects that are the subject for the books! From here, you can read up on the insides, to figure out how to do many drawing techniques and how to do them. Its like having an art teacher in your room!

Beautiful flowers to trace and color. But don't think they are easy. Phew I'm trying with colored pencils and guess that's not my forte. Next I'll try water color and acrylic. No matter what they are beautiful pictures to work from and nice clear and clean tracings. Color dots to show you colors used but you can always try different color. I've been trying to learn colored pencils but I stink. Going to try water color and then next acrylic. Wish me luck and I wish you luck too. :-)
BTW Cynthia Knox is and unbelievable color pencil artist who teaches on Craftsy. When I saw the cover of this book I just knew it was her and sure enough it is!

About the Author
James Tyler Kent, A.M., Chicago, Illinois, Professor of Materia Medica in Hahnemann Medical College, Chicago physician and author of several valuable medical works, is a native of the town of Woodhull, Steuben county, New York, born in 1849, son of Stephen Kent and Caroline Tyler, his wife. His elementary and secondary education was acquired in Franklin Academy, Prattsburg, and his higher education in Madison (now Colgate) University, Hamilton, New York, where he came to his degree, Ph.B., in 1868; A. M., 1870. He was educated in medicine in the Eclectic Medical Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio, graduating there in 1871, and the Homoeopathic Medical College of Missouri, St. Louis, where he was awarded the diploma of that institution in 1889. Dr. Kent began his professional career in St. Louis as a physician of the eclectic school at the same time being actively connected with several eclectic journals in the capacity of writer and also took an earnest part in the councils of the Eclectic National College, St. Louis, 1877-78, about which time his attention was forcibly directed to homoeopathy, through the serious illness of his wife, whose case refused to yield to the treatment either of his own eclectic or the allopathic school practitioners, but was subdued by homoeopathic treatment. He then became a careful student of Hahnemann's Organon and other works of the new school, with result in his complete conversion to homoeopathy, his resignation from the Eclectic Medical Association in 1879 and his appointment to the chair of Anatomy in the Homoeopathic Medical College of Missouri, which he held from 1881 until 1883, and Professor of Materia Medica from 1883 until 1888. Later on he was dean and professor of Materia Medica in the Post-Graduate School of Homoeopathics, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; dean and professor of materia medica in Dunham Medical College, Chicago; dean and professor of materia medica in Hering Medical College, Chicago; and in 1905 he held the same chair in Hahnemann Medical College, Chicago. Thus for more than thirty-five years Dr. Kent had been a conspicuous figure in medical circles, and for more than twenty-five years in teaching and practice under the law of similia; and he is looked upon as one of the ablest teachers and exponents of the homoeoapthic school in America. His contributions to the literature of the profession are known by their strength rather than their length, and include, more prominently, his "Repertory", "Homoeoapthic Philosophy" and "Lectures on Materia Medica". Among the various professional associations of which he was a member, the more prominent of them, were the Illinois State Homoeopathic Medical Society, the American Institute of Homoeopathy and the International Hahnemannian Association, besides which he held a honorary corresponding membership in the British Homoeopathic Medical Society.

Kent died, on June 6, 1916 at Stevensville, Montana.

In a detailed morphology of free black women's experiences in antebellum reform, historian Yee shifts the genesis of radical antislavery from the Garrisonians to blacks and finds free black women present at the creation. Women abolitionists joined together in community building, political organizing, and building private and professional female networks. In doing so, they discovered that to gain a public audience they needed simultaneously to act like "true women" in working for moral reforms such as temperance and education while also stepping out of conventional "middle-class" female roles to speak and write against slavery. Such activism led toward women's rights, yet blacks abjured association with white reformers unsupportive of racial uplift. Racism among reformers propelled black women reformers toward separate action and identity. Yee's complex argument demands serious attention from those trying to unravel the contradicions in the reform tradition. Recommended for university libraries.

Highly dissapointing book.

To be fair to Paul Rubillo, I am a subscriber to his website Dividen.com. As a dividend investor, his website provides useful information when I am buying dividend stocks. That disclosure aside, "Be a Dividend Millionaire" was absolutely useless for a dividend investor.
The first 35 pages of the book was wasted on information telling the reader how to save money on household expenses. The same type of information that can be obtained from the financial section of any newspaper.
After the "Larry Winget" section, I kept reading fully expection to have an "AHA" moment. One or two tidbits of information that would add to my knowledge of dividend investing. To my dismay, what I read in "Dividend Millionaire" was a vague generalization of investing. The only chapter that specifically focused on dividend investing, chapter 7, had but a scant 10 pages about divideds. Following that information was a list of companies called Dividend Increasers, compiled in December 31, 2009. One would think Mr. Rubillo would add information that was not 15 month old. I was not expecting the magic formula for instant wealth, just perhaps something new to add to my knowledge base, sadly I found nothing.
In all candor, "Be a Dividend Millionaire", is not a book I would recommend to either a novice or veteran dividend investor. It is somewhat anecdotal and barely skims the surface of divided investing. It is the only book I have returned to Amazon.

This book has nothing to do with dividend stocks

Judging from the title, you'd think this book was about how to build your portfolio through dividend stocks, and how to identify/analyze them. You'd be wrong. The first quarter of the book is how to manage your expenses. The middle part of the book the author tells you stories about people daytrading and how his friends lost money because of their bad decisions. The last part of the book the author tells you how he daytrades. There's ONE page giving you a list of dividend stocks and why you should go to his website for the latest list and why you should subscribe to his newsletter. Are you kidding?

NONE of the info in the book is about investing in dividend stocks. The 5-star reviews here are obviously fake, as is this book.

Be a Dividend Millionaire

This is a well written and easy to read book - I finished it in one night. It conveys convincingly the advantages of investing in dividend stocks. Not a new idea, but Paul goes a step further by explaining the methodology used in his site (Dividend.com), to select such stocks. It also includes an engaging chapter on his life as a day trader. People in the trade will relate well to it.

Unfortunately, the book falls short on a critical aspect. It does not provide a methodology for building a portfolio. For example, if Clara has $100,000 and wants to star building a dividend driven portfolio, what are the steps she has to take? Yes, there are different lists of selected stocks in the site based on risk tolerance and yield levels - the ingredients - but the mixing instructions are nowhere to be found. A missed opportunity that should be addressed in future editions.
