About the Author
While completing his master's degree in teaching and PhD in English, Joe Gansrow taught high school English on Long Island, NY. After nearly a decade teaching high school, he accepted an offer to teach at Suffolk Community College, where, as an associate professor of English, he teaches a variety of composition and literature courses and serves as the cofounder and director of his campus's writing center.
